Nice to meet you in this blog.
I'm the director of Shanghai Viewing Stone Association.I like to enjoy and collect the viewing
stones very much,as well as other collections, such as antiques, silver coins, stamps, porcelains.
What is a viewing stone ? The viewing stone is called as Suiseki (Japanese), suseok (Korean).
The viewing stone is a natural art stone. When you enjoy them, they are like landscape
pictures, vivid figures,animals,trees etc. But they are all unique,no reproducts.
Over 1000 years ago , the Chinese emperors,officials,scholars began to collect the viewing stones.
About 600 years ago, the Japanese began to enjoy and collect the stones, since then ,the Japanese developped the viewing stones to southeast Asia and the world.
At present over three million people in China are collecting the viewing stones.
I hope use this blog to introduce the Chinese stone culture to all friends in the world.
